Cabin History

how a man was tearing

limbs from the evergreens

where my arms

were starting to grow

*

how the tree spore rooted

down my throat

was bending my fingers back

from the inside

*

how my branches broke

and foxes scattered wildly

wearing the skins

of dead foxes
